Dia de los Muertos
I made this for a friend who loves Day of the Dead as much as I do. I tried to depict the subtle feeling of spirits coming together for a celebration. Since the image of the skeleton was generally accepted as the symbol of death, I found it interesting as a young lad the way skeletons were being used to celebrate life, even if it was after death. I absolutely love the idea of people spending an evening with their deceased relatives, bringing offerings with them and decorating the tombs with flowers and candles, saying prayers while the children play together throughout the cemetery. If I could, I'd do it every weekend.

Grail
This piece was an experiment. I was a little inspired by the costumes from the movie "The Cell" (I do kinda like that movie) and tried to recreate the texture from the meat suits inside the heart. I later decided to add the figure inside the chalice to portray a kind of baptism.

Greeting Card Covers
Here are some greeting card covers I did for a company called Leap Greetings. Since I couldn't really use my drawing skills for this project, I worked with mostly color and textures. The theme for this series was "Father to Son" as well as a few Christmas cards. Overall, I was happy with how they turned out.
